Cattle Abductor (C++)
A 2D Graphical action game that I have written using the Allegro game programming library. Original concept is based off of my UFO Saver, this time putting the player in control of the action with added scoring and enemies to avoid.
Story:
You're an extra terrestrial who has been given the task of "getting the grub" for the next big intergalactic barbeque, and your running out of time.
The goal of Cattle Abductor is simple; grab as many cows as you can. Better watch out for earth's pesky military though, they start off merely curious, but become increasingly hostile as they realize that you're running off with their beef!
The game gets progressively harder as score is increased. I personally find that above 2000 points it starts to become rather challenging. A new life is granted every 1000 points. All of the artwork used is of my own creation.
Controls:
Mouse: Movement - Mouse, Right Button - Thrust, Left Button - Activate Beam
Keyboard: Movement - Arrow Keys, Up Arrow - Thrust, Space Bar - Activate Beam
When the game starts make sure you hit thrust - keeping yourself airborne is half the challenge.
